Features: Colorless transparent or red crystal, one gram of octahydric hydroxide can be dissolved in about 14 ml of water at 20°C, slightly soluble in ethanol, it will become carbonic acid when it absorbs CO2 in the air, it is highly alkaline and corrosive. Chemical reagents for the determination of carbon dioxide in the air and analytical chromatography, also used as chemical raw materials.

Properties: Barium hydroxide octahydrate is colorless transparent crystal or white powder in appearance; easily soluble in hot water and formaldehyde; toxic; corrosive.
