Chemical glass is a voltage-sensitive layer on the glass surface by making the glass and alkali metal ions and other metal ions form contact containing catalyst salt, and the ion exchange between the metal ions in the glass and the metal ions in the catalyst salt.

Chemical strengthening treatment is as follows: The glass is brought into contact with the metal salt (such as potassium nitrate) by means of a medium process impregnated in molten liquid containing metal ions with large ionic radii (typically Na ions or K ions), thereby replacing metal ions with small ionic radii (typically Na ions or Li ions) in the glass with metal ions with large ionic radii (typically, Na ion or K ion for Li ion, K ion for Na ion).

In order to accelerate the speed of chemical strengthening treatment, it is preferred to use the "Li-Na exchange" which enables the exchange of Li ions with Na ions in the glass.

In addition, in order to form a large compressive stress through ion exchange, it is preferred to use "NA-K exchange", which enables the exchange of Na ions with K ions in the glass.

As one of the key salts used for chemical enhancement, nitrates, sulfates, carbonates, chlorides, etc.

As nitrate, can be listed: lithium nitrate, sodium nitrate, potassium nitrate, cesium nitrate;

As sulfates, for example: lithium sulfate, sodium sulfate, potassium sulfate, cesium sulfate, silver sulfate, etc.
As carbonates, for example: lithium carbonate, sodium carbonate, potassium carbonate, etc.

As chlorides, for example: lithium chloride, sodium chloride, potassium chloride, cesium chloride, silver chloride, etc.

These chloride salts can be used alone or in a variety of combinations.
